The beauty of Shakespeare's many masterpieces is that a hundred years from now, or, hell, 500 years from now, innovative artists and troupes around the world will still be finding new and exciting ways to interpret them. To wit: Today at Discovery Green's Fresh Fridays Presented by the Fresh Arts Coalition, two of Houston's finest performance groups, Mildred's Umbrella and the Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, will offer up Shakespeare renditions. Mildred's Umbrella will do a 20-minute presentation of A Midsummer Night's Dream, cramming the tale into a kooky presentation starring Bottom and his "rude mechanicals," and then Dominic Walsh swings things over to the tragic side as he and his troupe offer a sneak peek at their interpretation of Titus Andronicus, which they'll premiere at the Hobby Center next week. See the Bard in a whole new light - not to mention by sunset. 7 p.m. 1500 McKinney. For information, call 713-956-5333 or visit www.discoverygreen.com. Free.
