Author Reed Farrel Coleman claims his alter ego Tony Spinosa was "raised by nuns in a Brooklyn orphanage...the product of an affair between the blind daughter of a neighborhood rabbi and a local wiseguy."

In his latest outing under the Tony Spinosa pseudonym, Coleman's The Fourth Victim takes a look at New York truckers. Three drivers have already fallen to the serial killer known as the Oilman Murderer. When the fourth victim, Rusty Monaco, is killed, his bosses Joe Serpe and Bob Healy, both ex-cops, start their own investigation. In the process, they find that Monaco had a huge stash of cash, money the two men suspect came from a racially charged crime committed years earlier.
