So the first reported sightings of El Chupacabra, the legendary goat-sucker, apparently occurred in Puerto Rico. Maybe that's why a cocktail called El Chupa­cabra Jr. appears on the menu at Puerto Rican joint Isla Coqui's Restaurant & Bar (1801 Durham Dr. #1A, 713-861-1000). According to some guy, the "real" Chupacabra sucks the blood from its victims' bodies. Unlike El Chupacabra the elder, Junior is not some urban legend but a real killer. Victims of Junior may howl mysteriously, drool uncontrollably or giggle inappropriately. Like a "suicide" drink kids make at the soda fountain — a mix of all five soda flavors — the ingredients of this monster are a murderer's row of dangerous substances. Why we used to mix all the sodas together is still a mystery, kinda like the exact origin of this drink's name (especially the "Jr." part). All I know is, if you have too many Chupacabras Jr., you could wake up and find yourself mysteriously dead.

1 ounce Bacardi 151 rum

1/2 ounce Bacardi White rum

1/2 ounce vodka

1/2 ounce gin

1/2 ounce whiskey

1/2 ounce tamarind juice

Shake and serve on the rocks in a Collins glass. Take a cab.
