Get a jump-start on Christmas with Times Square Angel, Charles Busch’s version of Scrooge. The play features Irish O’Flanagan, a sweat-shop worker who transforms herself into a nightclub sensation. On her way to fame and fortune, Irish manages to alienate everyone around her until she’s completely friendless. But all’s not lost — a fallen angel has orders to save Irish from a lonely future, no matter what it takes. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Country Playhouse, 12802 Queensbury, Town & Country Village. For information, call 713-467-4497 or visit www.countryplayhouse.org. $10.
