Sylvia Casares Copeland might be famous for her enchiladas (she’s the chef/owner of Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen), but she knows a few things about tamales, too. Learn how to make the Mexican holiday treat — from scratch — during her Hot Tamales cooking class. You’ll watch as she prepares pork tamales and then take your place at the kitchen counter to assemble the chicken variety. Classes run 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 6 and 13, and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, and Wednesday, December 17. For information, location and to register, call 713-529-4414 or visit www.llu.com. $65.
