Mexican rocker Alejandra Guzman is the Latin answer to Tina Turner — without the getting-beat-up-by-Ike part. The 40-year-old singer's got the same cast-iron legs, the same spiky hair and the same musical style built on deep, throaty vocals with a solid rock sensibility. Guzman's chops earned her a Best Rock Solo Vocal Album win at the 2002 Latin Grammys, a minor miracle in the misogynist field of Latin rock. If you didn't catch her at this year's awards – she started with the ballad "Hasta el Final" and finished up with danceable "Soy Sólo Un Secreto," both from 2007's Fuerza — she's already back, no doubt belting out greatest hits like "Eternamente Bella," "Hacer El Amor Con Otro" and a few Fuerza tunes. Expect La Guzman to be raw and real.
