It’s the season of sparkle and magical lights, and the glow’s going global with The Divine Performing Arts World Tour from China. The colorful touring variety show that’s traveled around the world features beautiful costumes, lovely dancers, musicians and loads of bling. Add in a fog machine, enormous drums, state-of-the-art digital backdrops, some rhythmic gymnastics and a dude in a white jacket singing into a mike, and you’re starting to get the picture. The show combines ancient Chinese pageantry with cool contemporary glitz to create an ooh-aah spectacle that fits the season. 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana. For information, call 713-629-3700 or visit www.divineshows.com. $30 to $150.
Mon., Dec. 22, 8 p.m.; Tue., Dec. 23, 8 p.m., 2008
