“Home for the holidays” takes on a new meaning when you drop by the Holiday Pet Adoption center. Kittens, puppies, cats and dogs are all waiting for the best Christmas present ever — a loving family. If you already have all the furry friends you can handle, you can still help by volunteering to staff the adoption booth or walk the dogs while they’re waiting for their new moms and dads. Adoptions are taking place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. December 19, 20 and 21 at Highland Village, 4055 Westheimer. For information, call 713-850-3100. $35 adoption fee.
Fridays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Dec. 12. Continues through Dec. 21, 2008
