But despite all his onscreen success, the scruffy Kennedy is most comfortable onstage doing stand-up. Filled with weird characters and funny voices, Kennedys observational humor takes swipes at everything from race relations to infomercials to homophobia (the latter is only fitting, since Kennedy reports that early on in his career, he was booed off stage in a West Hollywood gay bar for not being pretty enough).
