Winter Day Camps at the Jewish Community Center

Got a bored kid on your hands this winter break? Send them to one of several day camps over at the Jewish Community Center and they’ll be bored no more. The JCC has lots special-interest camps, including sports-themed sessions (Jr. NBA/WNBA, soccer, tennis and gymnastics), as well as regular activities camps with swimming, games, field trips, arts and crafts. Preschoolers will enjoy Winter in the City, with a visit to Big City Circus, scavenger hunts, “pretend” ice skating and a New Year’s Day parade. Kids K-5 will choose from Happy Days camp’s scheduled activities, including a tour of Minute Maid Stadium, a trip to the Children’s Museum of Houston, magic shows and making genuine fossil shark tooth necklaces. Older kids will have lots to choose from at Middle School Madness, with indoor swimming, outdoor ice skating (not pretend this time), trips to a Rockets game and the Downtown Aquarium, games and crafts.
