4th Annual Open Call Show: “Texas Green”

Local artists responded in a variety of colors to the Art Car Museum’s yearly themed show

Artists answered the “Go green!” rally cry for the Art Car Museum’s 4th Annual Open Call Show: “Texas Green” with a variety of work that ranges from the humorous (Solomon Kane’s Eve An American Goddess Don’t Blame Me for Your Psychotic Religious Misconceptions, the torso of a female mannequin covered in vibrant psychedelic art), to the simple (Sara Gish’s Do Enthuse, a reworked Do Not Enter street sign), to the oversize (ViSKER’s Stumper, an art car monster with giant eyes and teeth). View the almost 150 works from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Through February 22. 140 Heights Boulevard. For information, call 713-861-5526 or visit www.artcarmuseum.com. Free.
Wednesdays-Sundays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Nov. 22. Continues through Feb. 15, 2008
