Journalist David Sheff took a personal tragedy and turned it into Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction, a story of hope for others. His son Nic Sheff took the same experience and turned it into Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines, a cautionary tale. Father and son come together today to read from their respective books, two sides of the same story with very different viewpoints. 7 p.m. Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet.
