It’s all backstabbing, double crosses and catfights in Macbeth, the latest production by Opera in the Heights. Based on Shakespeare’s play, Macbeththe opera tells the story of a man’s rise to power helped along by his ambitious wife, who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty (well, at least not until the very end, when she can’t wash the blood off them). This production marks OH’s return to their home in Lambert Hall, now that the damage caused by Hurricane Ike has been repaired. (Bad Ike, bad!) 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Through February 7. Lambert Hall, 1703 Heights Boulevard. For information, call 713-861-5303 or visit www.operaintheheights.org. $10 to $45.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Jan. 29. Continues through Feb. 7, 2009
