The Last Kiss

Web exclusive!

Singer and poet Vladimir Vysotsky was in Russia; his wife actress Marina Vlady was in France. It was a hell of a way to run a marriage. The Last Kiss, a documentary about this pair’s unconventional relationship, retells their history through archival footage (with English subtitles), providing rare cinematic access to 1970s Soviet Russia. Stick around after the film for a celebratory sing-along of Vysotsky’s classic anthems. (This sing-along is BYOG: bring your own guitar.) 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Russian Cultural Center, 2337 Bissonnet. For information, call 713-395-3301 or visit www.ourtexas.org. $8 suggested donation.

Fri., Jan. 30, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., Jan. 31, 7:30 p.m., 2009
