Diane Stanley

Web exclusive!

Mozart produced some of the greatest music ever heard. He also lived a short, mostly unhappy life. Author/illustrator Diana Stanley gives kids a glimpse into Mozart’s childhood in Mozart: The Wonder Child: A Puppet Play in Three Acts. Inspired by the Salzburg Marionette Theatre while she was in Austria researching the book, Stanley fashions her story as a puppet play. Today’s signing will be a bit of a homecoming for Stanley. She lived here for 25 years before recently moving to New Mexico, so there should be plenty of familiar faces in the crowd. 6 p.m. Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet.
