The poetry of Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson flows with style, grace and more than a tinge of melancholy, but can you put a beat to it? That’s the question that the performing group Aperio, Music of the Americas hopes to answer in its reading/concert Marked Passage: Poetry by Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath.The organization — which presents rarely staged chamber music by contemporary composers — will perform selections from Americans Aaron Copland, Ned Rorem and Vincent Persichetti. The ensemble includes soprano Tracy Rhodus, clarinetist Christian Schubert and pianist Michael Zuraw, with Elizabeth Gregory reading. 3 p.m. Sicardi Gallery, 2246 Richmond.
