Free Day at the Zoo

Web exclusive!

President’s Day doesn’t get the attention it used to, but one Houston institution finds it cause enough to throw open its door and forget about the admission fee. As its title might imply, the Free Day at the Zoo gets you free admission to all the exhibits, demonstrations and keeper talks. Be sure to see the zoo’s latest family addition, the rare lemur that was recently born. Mother and child, ah, we mean cub… pup…oh hell, the baby are doing fine and ready for visitors. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For information, call 713-533-6500 or visit www.houstonzoo.org. Free.
