Opera's reigning first lady gives an intimate performance
For opera lovers, An Evening with Renée Fleming is a once-in-a-lifetime event. (It comes with a once-in-a-lifetime price tag, but we’ll get to that in a minute.) Perhaps the most captivating singer since Maria Callas, the Grammy Award-winning Fleming’s intimate performance, a fund-raiser for Rice University’s School of Opera, includes solo recital selections and a short program of works accompanied by the school’s orchestra.
