Buffalo Bayou Regatta

Web exclusive!

The largest canoe and kayak race in the state, the Buffalo Bayou Regatta welcomes beginners and experts alike. The 15-mile course runs along a scenic stretch of bayou, so those entrants more interested in fun than race stats will have something nice to see as they float by. Of course, those who are worried about finishing times can wait until after the race and enjoy the scenery at the awards ceremony. 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Starting line is 7700 San Felipe; finish line/awards ceremony is at Sesquicentennial Park at 400 Texas. For information, call 713-752-0314 or visit www.buffalobayou.org. Free for spectators.
