Go green with Ireland’s favorite patron saint with a slew of events including a festive St. Patrick’s Day Parade and a huge After Parade Party. This year, the 50th anniversary of the celebration will include more than 125 floats, marching bands, waving politicians, drill teams and just plain folks who like to walk, in a parade from Minute Maid Park to…ah, Minute Maid Park. Then there’s an After Parade Party with live entertainment including the Houston Highlanders Pipe Band, Constant Billy and O’Maoileidigh. The parade starts at noon; the after party is 12:45 p.m. to 3 p.m. 501 Crawford. For information, visit www.saintpatricksdayparade.com. Both events are free.
