Country Playhouse 2009 New Play Reading Series

The 2009 New Play Reading Seriesat Country Playhouse continues today with Katy resident Scott McWhirter’s Broke Poet, a look at our relationship with machines set in a Godot-esque world. Next week’s performance is Tom Stell’s Republic Day, about a family’s search for justice. The series concludes April 5 with Gwen Flager’s Waiting to be Mended, an exploration of a woman’s struggle with her past. 7 p.m. 12802 Queensbury.
