Clive Barker’s 1990 horror flick Nightbreedhas been called “the greatest film you never saw,” because the box office flop was pulled out of theaters rather quickly. Later, it found a following (too late!) that appreciated Barker’s filmmaking genius. In Nightbreed, Barker focuses on Aaron Boone, who dreams about Midian, a city filled with the Nightbreed, deviants and grotesque creatures. His dreams become so bad, he goes to a shrink — a psychotic shrink who wants to use Aaron as the fall guy for a string of murders. It kinda gets worse after that. 8:30 p.m. Domy, 1709 Westheimer.
