Yo Quiero Fresh Art

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor!

The Fresh Arts Coalition wants to buy you a drink. Well, more like offer you a drink. The Coalition’s upcoming Yo Quiero Fresh Art spring mixer features free drinks (Distinguido Tequila and Saint Arnold Brewing Company are doing the pouring), along with the latest art news, performances and season information on its member organizations. The twice-a-year gathering is the coalition’s way of saying ¡Muchas gracias, Houston! for the city’s support of the arts. During the mixer, choreographer Michelle Ellsworth will perform excerpts from The Objectification of Things, a multimedia exploration of the complexities and significance of everyday objects — in this case, a hamburger. (For more information on The Objectification of Things, see our Friday listings.) You must RSVP to info@fresharts.org. (Don’t blame us if they don’t let you in.) Yo Quiero Fresh Art starts at 6 p.m., with last call at 8 p.m. DiverseWorks, 1117 East Freeway. For information, call 713-956-5333 or visit www.fresharts.org. Free.
