The title says it all — Steel Magnolias. Playwright Robert Harling’s most well-known work, Steel Magnolias is the touching story of a group of Southern women who seem to be delicate and fragile but are in fact as strong as iron. With undying optimism, well-worn friendship and the belief that happiness is just a new hairdo away, the women juggle new loves and old hurts, dreams and devastation. And they do it all without breaking a nail. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays. Through April 11. Texas Repertory Theatre, 14243 Stuebner Airline. For information, call 281-583-7573 or visit www.texreptheatre.org. $25 to $45.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: March 27. Continues through April 11, 2009
