The artist uses the simple shapes to create ink drawings that resemble among other things maps, internal body systems, plants and galaxies. Thousands of circles are used to shape and shade works like Transplant, which is either an aerial view of a waterway or a microscopic peek at a central nervous system. Fogts chosen method explores themes infinite and finite, macro and micro, leaving the viewer to determine whether each image is close up or far out. Do the rounds and decide for yourself. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Through April 18. Lawndale Art Center, 4912 Main.
