Well, that’s what the folks who lived in a suburb called Sharpstown used to think. In the lecture The Future of Houston’s Former Suburbs: A View from Sharpstown — Infrastructure, Education, and Quality of Life, Rice University Associate Professor Dr. Alexander X. Byrd will tell us what’s next for a neighborhood once thought far beyond the reach of Houston’s sprawl.
