The Aurora Picture Show pays weekend homage to those hazy nights of long ago with an audiovisual tribute to light shows during the Media Archeology Festival: Liquid Light to the Laptop, the Evolution of Live Visuals. The psychedelic, retina-burning fun begins on Friday with the totally trippy Joshua Light Show — of New York City’s Fillmore East fame — which features video artists Bec Stupak, Brock Monroe and Seth Kirby. The festival continues Saturday with a presentation from Robin Oppenheimer about the light shows from the West Coast. (Silly you, you thought East and West Coast light shows were the same.) And the head trip ends with a screening of Ronald Nameth’s Andy Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable. (Oh, the colors, man, the colors!) 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
