Soldiers and swans have a lot more in common than we might think. They’re both brave, strong and, sometimes, afraid. Monumental, the piece Australian choreographer/dancer Ros Warbyis performing in her first-ever Houston appearance, takes those two classic characters of ballet storylines, then adds cello music by Helen Mountfort, film and graphics to produce something that’s…well…monumental. 8 p.m. Wortham Center, 500 Texas.
