Comicpalooza

Web exclusive!

If you’re not a Wolverine fan, go ahead and skip to the next event. If, however, like all other people with extremely good taste, you love the hairy, steel-implanted mutant, you’ll love this year’s Comicpalooza. Wolverine creators Herb Trimpe and Len Wein are set to appear at the free comic book festival, just two of the many artists and celebs on the schedule. Houstonians Ryan Burton and Doug Hazelwood are among the less-well-known-but-not-for-long artists who will also appear. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. West Oaks Mall, 1000 West Oaks. For information, call 832-398-3193 or visit www.comicpalooza.com. Free.
Sat., May 2, 2-8 p.m.; Sun., May 3, 2-8 p.m., 2009
