Kid’s Play: The Musical makes its premiere today with a performance by Hope Stone Inc.’s Kid’s Play Ensemble accompanied by the boys band YouthSound. Hope Stone founder Jane Weiner led the adult creative team that produced the children’s theater production. Taking bits from such classics as Annie, The Sound of Musicand Singing in the Rain, the student performers present a cheeky parody of the American musical. 7 p.m. Jewish Community Center, 5601 South Braeswood Boulevard.
