Painter Danielle Frankenthal's 2008 exhibit at Wade Wilson Art was a casualty of Hurricane Ike. (The show was open only a week before the storm struck.) But lucky for us, she's back with a show of new work, the self-titled "Danielle Frankenthal."For this series, Frankenthal has painted panels of acrylic resin with fluid, graceful lines and transparent splashes of color. To create each image, multiple panels are mounted together with a half-inch space between them, and then suspended about an inch away from the wall. The technique allows light on, through and behind the image, making shadows and reflections part of the overall effect. There's an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 29. Regular viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays. Through July 3. 4411 Montrose.
