Jazz hands are passé; you’ve got to learn the newest moves to be a dancer. Kicking, leaping, turning and twisting — all of it. Thankfully, you’ve got one-stop shopping with the crack team assembled by famed dance master (and native Houstonian) Debbie Allen. In association with the Stage Presence Performing Arts Studio, Allen is offering the 4th Annual Debbie Allen Dance Institute Houston, a two-week intensive summer dance course, to anyone ages three to 23. Classes include modern dance, hip-hop, African, ballet and tap, catering to all skill levels. The fee covers the tuition as well as tickets to the end-of-program performance on July 12. 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Through July 12. Wortham Center, 500 Texas. For information, call 713-995-6866 or visit www.stage-presence.org. $550 to $600.
