Inspirational author, wife and mother of four Cathy Jodeit will read from her most recent title, Raising Bentley...The Lab with Heart, and discuss her writing career at today's Cafe Reads presentation. A University of Texas graduate, Jodeit inadvertently started her first book, Sweet Sixteen with Hodgkin's, when she began compiling prayers for her teenaged daughter who was suffering from cancer. 9:30 a.m. Houston Public Library, 500 McKinney.
