Local flamenco dancer La Tempestad is used to being onstage, but she says she’ll gladly relinquish the spotlight in favor of today’s performance by Arte y Pureza. Three members of the Seville-based flamenco company (dancers Cihtli Ocampo and Javier Heredia, and musician Ethan Margolis) have been in town leading workshops, but fans couldn’t let them get away without at least one public performance. “I just can’t wait to be a spectator. I’m looking forward to seeing [flamenco] done the real way,” says La Tempestad, whose dance academy sponsored the appearance of Arte y Pureza. “It’s going to be very different from what you usually see in that they perform flamenco in the purest sense.
