How High

Stoner faves Method Man and Redman wage a battle of the blunts.

Known for their sharp and hilarious turns on albums like 1999 collaboration Blackout!, Method Man and Redman have also appeared in deodorant commercials, the stoner cult classic How High and short-lived Fox sitcom Meth & Red. Indelible pop-culture creatures, the rappers' brand-new sequel Blackout! 2 is much better than most people expected. But who's the real headliner?

Method Man and Redman: "The smoke would choke a horse."

More About

Best Line on Blackout! 2

Method Man: "I can't deal with fickle minds 'cause I'm too official with mine / Put your nose in my notebook and go and sniff you a line" ("I'm Dope Nigga")

Redman: "You can smoke with the bro if you got ass and nice tits / But fuck you with that 'I'm high off of life' shit." ("Dis Iz 4 All My Smokers")

Winner: Red

Best Television Performance

Method Man: "Omar had one of them Commando squads with him, man," explains Meth's The Wire character Cheese to his uncle Proposition Joe after his crew was robbed blind. "I mean, he had this one ho pulling guns out her pussy, unc. The shit was unseemly, man."

Redman: His wholly unique Cribs episode begins with Red lying in a sleeping bag on a fold-out bed. We're then treated to his cluttered kitchen, screenless door, dirty laundry strewn about — and a cousin asleep on the floor.

Winner: Tie

Best Beef

Method Man: When Vibe published an NCAA-style rap bracket earlier this year, it seeded Method Man higher than NYC MC Joe Budden, who took to the radio to announce that he, in fact, was superior. "He been on medication since he was in junior high school," Meth shot back.

Redman: Believes Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle borrowed way too liberally from How High.

Winner: Meth

Parting Puffs

Method Man: Though both men like their marijuana, Meth made news in 2007 for the sheer volume of his habit, getting arrested after stopping to pay a toll in Brooklyn. "It was like something out of Cheech & Chong," a witness told New York's Daily News. "He rolls down the window and the smoke would choke a horse."

Redman: "I would like to open a dental hygienist place where niggas — people — could get they teeth cleaned," he said recently. "Even if they don't have insurance, they could still come in. They'd still have to pay, though, but at least they'd have a clean mouth in the hood."

Winner (by split decision): Redman
