Although Blue October began playing around Houston almost 14 years ago, it wasn't until 2003's "Calling You" that audiences outside Texas really began to catch on. Then 2006's Foiled album single-handedly launched the quintet to its current alt-rock A-list status courtesy of singles "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean," two very different tales of heartbreak and disappointment. After a small break, the group is back and touring behind latest album Approaching Normal, as October continues to stretch its musical wings in all directions on latest singles "Say It" and "Dirt Room." Though Normal doesn't sound much like older October songs such as "Breakfast after 10" and "Razorblade," they're still the hometown boys we all know and have followed for years.
