It's very likely there are Houstonians who are pleased as punch (please forgive us for using that expression) that Mos Def is coming back to Houston for another show. Some of you may remember the show he did at the Arena Theatre in April, where he, Bilal, Ledisi and Mint Condition's Stokley Williams nearly spent all night doing their own free-form, progressive-soul jamboree. While it was great seeing them all together on the same stage, could it have killed them to close the show before midnight? Fortunately, it's been said that the various House of Blues shows he's been doing in conjunction with the release of his latest album, the well-reviewed The Ecstatic, have been quite short by comparison; his show at Chicago's HOB reportedly lasted a little over 80 minutes. There's a good chance you'll get a tight, right show from Mos and still make it home in time for Craig Ferguson.
