Dust off your Day-Glo for SPIN5: Flashdance! The Houston Center for Photography's annual fundraiser will take on the '80s with a theme inspired by the Jennifer Beals flick. Attendees will receive a $5 discount for wearing era-appropriate attire to the bash, where local spinster DJ Shoe will blast plenty of '80s hits. Those who have forgotten all their Pepsi-Generation moves can get a quick lesson from Houston Ballet soloist Kelly Myernick before conquering the dance floor, ballet barres and "dance pole." (Yeah, we just may leave that last one alone.) Don't forget to capture your stroll down memory lane - if you are old enough to remember the decade, that is - by striking a pose in front of an '80s backdrop for a radical photo.
