All of the 50 super-size globes (they're five feet wide and seven feet tall) in the "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet" outdoor exhibit are messages from artists around the world, from schoolchildren to international talents, suggesting solutions to global warming. In Mitch Levin and Baris Taser's Race to Save the Planet, the artists covered the entire sphere with 2,000 black and white toy cars, then covered that with aluminum in the shape of the world's continents and added large red letters reading "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" circling the globe's equator. Use Your Imagination by Mr. Imagination is a scaled representation of the continents - but these continents are made from recycled bottle caps. The oceans are painted with reflective paint, giving viewers "a visual reminder that each person must do their part to recycle and save this beautiful, unique planet," according to the artist. 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Through December 13. 1500 McKinney. For information, call 713-400-7336 or visit www.discoverygreen.com. Free.
