Michael Andrews: Historic Texas Courthouses

The author discusses the state's architectural history

Michael Andrews, author of Historic Texas Courthouses, hems and haws a little when asked which of the restored architectural gems is his favorite, before admitting, "My top three are the courthouses in Presidio County [in] Marfa, Ellis County [in] Waxahachie, and the Grimes County courthouse in tiny Anderson." He'll discuss those and the other 93 structures his book covers at today's Authors in Architecture lecture. 6 p.m. Houston Public Library, 500 McKinney.
