Putting a man on the moon put a sleepy little Gulf Coast community on the map. The art exhibit “From Rice Fields to Rockets: JSC in Houston’s Bay Area, the Journey in Sights and Sounds”recounts the dramatic changes the area saw over the last 50 years, since the inception of the Johnson Space Center. “From Rice Fields to Rockets” uses photos, models, recordings and artwork to tell the JSC/Bay Area story. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
