For Domy Books' "Halloween Monster Show 4," a simple call for entries leads to a diabolically diverse assortment of art. "I just ask my friends, and people that I like their work, to send drawings of monsters," Domy manager Russell Etchen says. "Everybody has a different take on it. I don't give anybody guidelines. It's up to them to interpret the word." The result is new pieces from dozens of artists; the work ranges from graphic to oblique to borderline cute. Opening reception 7 to 9 p.m. October 31. Regular viewing hours noon to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. Through December 3. 1709 Westheimer. For information, call 713-523-3669 or visit www.domystore.com. Free.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 31. Continues through Dec. 3, 2009
