Josh Jordan, artistic director for the Red Door Theatre Company, has a warning for audiences coming to see the Knights of the Casa Bolero: "You have to be a Tex-Mex food lover," he says, "or at least have lived in Texas long enough to know that Tex-Mex is...sacred." Written by local playwright Louis B. Moore, Knightsis a comedy about a group of friends who are working to save their favorite Tex-Mex restaurant from closing. "Everyone has a favorite place, and so we all understand what it's like when that place closes down. The play is a reflection of what's going on in society today, the closing of older institutions, things that we like and that give us comfort, things that are home and familiar to us." 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 3:30 p.m. Sundays.
