For 30-year-old Antoine Sforza, it isn't that "you can't go home again" as much as it's "you shouldn't go home again." In the film Le fils de l'épicier (The Grocer's Son), Sforza is living a meager life in the city when his father falls ill. Sforza's forced to return home to his rural village to take over his dad's duties as a traveling grocer. The only bright spot in the situation is Claire, an attractive neighbor who has tagged along for the trip. Sforza is out of step with his neighbors (his city ways are offensive to their rural sensibilities), at odds with his family and losing his connection to Claire.
