Get a look at the work of creative giants Kimsooja, Bach Yiso and Do Ho Suh in the multimedia exhibit "Your Bright Future: 12 Contemporary Artists from Korea." The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is the second of only two U.S. stops for this show, the first in almost two decades to focus on contemporary Korean art. Ironically, many of the artists now live in places like Berlin, London and Paris. "We did not go into the exhibition looking for Korea, we went to Korea looking for artists working in the vocabulary and issues of today," says MFAH Asian Art Curator Christine Starkman. "And I hope that people take away that contemporary art is not [just] a European or American phenomenon. These artists have the same desires to be able to express their ideas." 12:15 to 7 p.m. Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Through February 14. 1001 Bissonnet. For information, call 713-639-7300 or visit www.mfah.org. Free to $7.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 22. Continues through Feb. 14, 2009
