Saturday brings one of the most accomplished practitioners of that craft to town in Nitzer Ebb, who has been screaming over beeps and boops since 1982. Some may question electronic bands' ability to deliver a live show superior to a traditional instrumental lineup, but trust us, there is nothing like the electric synergy of sin and energy that EBM artists bring to the table. While machines sweat the details, Nitzer Ebb sells the groove in a fantasti-goth sort of way. The songs are half sermon, half Ministry, with the words flowing through the beat like the kind of club conversation you know is going to lead to Penthouse Forum-worthy sex. Often remixed, but never duplicated, it's good to see the boys from Essex back together again showing the world that, like everything else, sonic skull-fucking is more fun with computers.
