The story of one man and the three women he loved and tragically lost, Les Contes d'Hoffman is performed live by the Metropolitan Opera with Joseph Calleja in the title role, Anna Netrebko as Antonia and James Levine at the conductor's podium. Tickets are almost sold out for today's performance in New York, but opera fans in Houston won't have trouble finding a seat in one of several theaters broadcasting the live performance (and they won't have to pay the $295 price tag for premium seats, either - ouch!)
