Author and clergyman Rick Elliott discusses and reads from his inspirational book Faith Journeys of the Heart today to launch the Community Center Reading Series, a new GLBT reading series. “It’s something we’ve thought about for a while,” says Tim Brookover of the GLBT Community Center’s board of directors. “So when Rick Elliott published his book, we figured there’s no time like the present.” After putting out some feelers, Brookover was contacted by the Houston Public Library about combining their efforts. “The library had a GLBT reading series last year…and they were looking to restart it.
