From jamming with Jimi Hendrix and touring with both Sly and the Family Stone in the early '70s and as Bette Midler's musical director in the '80s, and recording half a dozen albums under his own name in the '90s, keyboardist and now Houstonian Bobby Lyle has had a stellar career. This weekend he brings his considerable talents to "A Swingin' Affair," a jazz set with Mike Wheeler on guitar, Sebastian Whittaker on drums and Woody Witt on saxophones. Each a powerhouse in his own right, the foursome ought to blow Cezanne's doors off the hinges.
