Suzan-Lori Parks's Pulitzer Prize-winning Topdog/Underdog is the fast-paced story of two African-American brothers who have been pitted against each other since childhood. Lincoln is an ex-hustler who works as an Abraham Lincoln impersonator at an arcade (we kid you not), and Booth is a petty thief who wishes he had Lincoln's con-game skills. (Booth, by the way, has a gun — Lincoln, Booth, a gun, can you tell where this is going?)
